A morning wake up call gets the day started nice and early on day three. The early morning hours are ideal for game viewing, as this is when many animals are most active. After a refreshing tea or coffee at camp, we set off on a morning game viewing bush walk in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Your safari guides provide you with insightful information about the incredible plants and animals of the area, while you explore Sabi Sand on foot. Walking through this Big Five game reserve is a truly unique safari adventure!
The exhilarating guided walk takes you deep into the bush, where possible wildlife encounters include coming face-to-face with a lion pride, a herd of elephants and other wildlife – an experience that is sure to get your adrenaline levels up. The game walk in Sabi Sand is ideal for becoming aware of the finer details of the African bushveld and its variety of creatures, big and small. We spend time tracking wild animals and getting to know the wilderness more intimately than is possible on game viewing drives.
After the game walk, we return to the Camp for a mid-morning breakfast. Spend some time relaxing and resting at camp during the heat of the day. Lounge by the pool or take a leisurely stroll around the camp.
A fresh lunch is served in the main dining area of the safari camp around 14:00. After lunch, there is some more free time, before we embark on our sunset/night game drive. Sabi Sand Game Reserve is known for its remarkable sightings of the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. We usually get up close to the wildlife on our game drives, giving you excellent chances to take great photographs in the African bush.
Returning to camp after sunset, we find chilled beverages waiting in the boma, where the campfire is already going. Share a juicy meal in the boma under the stars, or in the dining area. Then sit back and take in the night sounds of the untamed bush.
