From the Kitchen

Healthy, fresh, delicious and plentiful is the order of the day come any meal time at Manyeleti Safaris Camp. Whether enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner, the one thing that remains consistent is the calibre of dishes presented. Simple and unpretentious yet packed with wholesome flavour. Of course, we want to make sure all our guests are well looked after come meal time, so we can cater for specific restrictive dietary requirements such as Vegetarian, Halaal or Gluten-free product meals. It is important to note that this needs to be pre-arranged when making your booking.

Guests get an authentic African Safari experience. The Manyeleti Reserve is nestled amidst the unfenced borders of the Kruger National Park, Sabi Sands and the Timbavati Reserves away from the mainstream tourist areas where guests can experience the tranquillity of a wilderness safari in absolute seclusion. Guides are hand-picked to assure that their knowledge, passion for wildlife and personal ability to be-friendly with guests, keeping them entertained and informed on game drives. They are truly gifted in their ability to track animals, prior to the game drives, using spoor and subtle signs of movement left in the bushveld. Game drives are conducted in open, four-wheel drive game viewing vehicles.

MANYELETI SAFARI CAMP TO JOHANNESBURG

DAY 4

The sun rises over our final day in the Manyeleti Reserve and we have one last chance to find the animals that have eluded us thus far. After breakfast, you are transferred to Hoedspruit's Eastgate Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, you will be collected and transferred to the Outlook Lodge. Spend the rest of the day at your own leisure.

JOHANNESBURG TO THE VICTORIA FALLS

DAY 5

After breakfast, you are transferred to the Airport for your flight to Victoria Falls. (Flight rates excluded) Upon your arrival in Victoria Falls, you will be collected and transferred to Lokuthla Lodge. Lokuthula, pronounced ‘Lock-oo-too-la’ in the local siNdebele tongue, means 'place of peace'. An apt name for these well-appointed lodges set in tranquil indigenous gardens where elephants roam and warthogs kneel to mow the lush lawns. Situated within the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge Resort Estate, Lokuthula is surrounded by 80 000 hectares of unspoilt African bush and borders the unfenced Zambezi National Park. A nearby waterhole facilitates free passage of wildlife, including buffalo, elephant, hyena and a variety of plains game between the park and the lodges.

EXPLORE THE VICTORIA FALLS

DAY 6

The Victoria Falls constitutes one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world. The Local people call it "Mosi-oa-Tunya", the smoke that thunders and is a waterfall in southern Africa on the Zambezi River at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

There is a magic about them manifested in the towering column of spray when the river is high, the thunder of the falling water, the terrifying abyss and tranquil lagoons upstream in which hippo and deadly crocodiles lurk.

The Victoria falls is 1 708 meters wide, making it the largest curtain of water in the world. It drops between 90m and 107m into the Zambezi Gorge and an average of 550,000 cubic meters of water plummet over the edge every minute. Remarkably preserved in its natural state, Victoria falls inspires visitors as much today as it did David Livingstone in the 1860s. The falls and the surrounding area have been declared National Parks and a World Heritage Site, thus preserving the area from excessive commercialization.

Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Statistically speaking, it is the largest waterfall in the world. This recognition comes from combining the height and width together to create the largest single sheet of flowing water. Livingstone named the falls after the reigning queen at the time.
